What I have noticed many women on cam that think their microph is on when it's not. I think the main problem is because most think just because viewers hear sound that means their microph is on, but not so in all cases. You see sound can often be picked up without a mic by your sound card. If, you notice that when you are close to your computer folks can hear you and when you get even a short distance away people cannot hear you then this is probably the case.
Also, using the Windows troubleshooter may resolve your issue as well.
To make sure your microph is selected please right click the cam box where you see yourself on cam. Click on settings. Then click the microph icon as seen in the picture. Next select your microph by clicking from the drag down menu. Please make sure that your mic is selected and not speaker or stereo mix. Sometimes Adjust the volume by dragging the slider to the desired level.
In addition if, you disabled some files from loading in the Windows startup or monfig double check to make sure it is not a necessary audio file. The same goes for if, you close a file in the task manager. You can research what a file does by doing a google search by entering that file name.
Please note in some rare cases by clearing cookies you may have to re-select your microph. If, members still cannot hear you, your microph maybe muted in an audio software. In such case you need to go to your audio icon (usually a speaker symbol). It can probably be found on your toolbar or under control panel. Go to microph settings or recording devices. Check to be sure your microph is not muted and the volume is at an adequate level. Also, be sure your microph is set to default and not your sound card. There maybe more than audio software in the control panel controlling your microph settings so please be aware of this and check all of them if necessary. If, this or a restart doesn't fix the problem your, you probably need a new microph.
