Your Sleeping Countenance. A Poem

Waking up next to you
Hearing you inhale
And exhale
Seeing your face stress-free.
Feeling your soft skin
I ever in my morning glory?
I !
Is what I can say!

I watch you sleep.
Your peace filled countenance
A sight for my loving eyes.
How I long to wake you
With a kiss.
But I dare not
You work ever so hard
And need your rest.

I know when you stir
On your own,
My lips will be
More than ready
My hands will seek employment
As I try to make your morning
As glorious as mine is.
Your enjoyment,
Your release of endorphins.
Just the beginning
For come the night
We could be at it again!

The day will come full circle
As I watch you sleeping
My adoration evident
As I view
Your sleeping countenance.
